Event Details

Come learn about our local frogs and be trained to participate in a nationwide citizen science effort to help scientists learn more about everyone’s favorite amphibians. This program will include a lecture as well as a field trip to listen to and identify calling frogs at Cox Hall Creek; so please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes you do not mind getting dirty.

Please bring a flashlight. Outdoor portion is weather dependent and will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.

Brian Williamson is a Research Scientist at The Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor, NJ , and serves as the Frogwatch USA coordinator for southern NJ. He has a Master’s of Science degree in Biology from Marshall University, and has extensive knowledge of reptiles and amphibians, particularly local frogs, turtles, and salamanders.
